About 12 years ago, I never thought I’d love coffee as much as I do today.
In fact, I always used to look at my grandpa and uncle and wonder why they were drinking such a bitter beverage when we went out to breakfast. I’d get my energy from pure sugar drinks like chocolate milk and orange juice.
I never thought I’d want or need caffeine.
A couple years later, a friend introduced me to the magic of flavored iced coffee, and it all went downhill from there. And now that I think of it, it’s no wonder how I gained so much weight so quickly from 18-22 years old.
Years later, I started dieting for the first time in my life and switched to black coffee to save calories. Oddly enough, I instantly liked it. Since then, I’ve been crushing 3-5 cups of coffee every single day and haven’t looked back.
That is… until recently.
I figured it would be a good idea to give caffeine a break to reset my tolerance and finally feel the real effects of caffeine again.
