Over the last couple weeks, I’ve been losing weight at a much slower rate than before.
My first 6 weeks I lost over 7 pounds, yet the last two I’ve barely lost a pound despite being careful with my calories and sticking to workouts.
I decided to use a weird method of carb cycling for more fat loss, and here’s what I’m doing:
- 6 days per week, I eat 2,000 calories.
- One day per week, I eat 2,500 calories.
After two weeks of doing this, I went from 179.9lbs to 174.4lbs which is freakin’ awesome.
So is carb cycling actually magical?
You might think so, but there’s more to the story than just eating an extra 500 calories of rice, bread, and pasta one day per week.
The truth is I am actually eating 200 calories less per week, and stress is lower on top of that.
When you’re eating in a calorie deficit for a while, it can be stressful, so having one day to eat a lot more calories can be great.
Not only do you have the option to eat foods you’ve been missing out on, but it can help fuel an epic workout the following day.
Just remember, you still gotta track calories.
That’s the main reason this method actually works, and the reduced stress is just a bonus.
