2010 was a weird year in my life.

I had my second job selling cell phones in a booth by harassing people walking through the mall and for whatever reason I wasn’t nearly as good as I was the first time around.

I was already infected by the “multiple tier marketing” bug, and bought nearly 200 bucks worth of random soaps and supplements to try and sell friends and family the vision.

Surprise, surprise…

That didn’t work out too well.

Either way, I was keeping my own options open for ways of making money.

I still don’t quite remember how I came across it…

But I found an ebook that allowed me to promote it for 100% commission which was pretty cool.

So I got to work.

I followed the instructions which was essentially to send as much traffic to my link as I possibly could.

The methods back then were incredibly tedious and quite isolating…

I would spend hours per day building these traffic credits so I could promote my own links, and even after spending thousands of them, nothing happened.

But one random day…

It actually worked!

Someone decided to buy from one of my promotions.

I don’t even want to talk about my hourly rate back then…

But that one $5 commission made everything real.

Since then, I went on to learn much more effective marketing methods like videos, articles, social media, and email marketing…

And I’ve made hundreds of sales across the niches I’ve been in…

But the base principle remains the same:

Send traffic to a funnel that sells an offer people want.

The trick is getting it all set up the right way without wasting time on stuff that doesn’t work.
