How To Get Paid To Write Online (Even If You Failed English Class)

One of the funniest things to me is how I failed English class twice but have been paid thousands of dollars by writing words on the internet.

Naturally, I had to include that in the caption below my photo on my ebook sales page.

So how is that possible when actually good writers struggle to make a single dollar?

It really comes down to 3 things:

  1. The offer
  2. The funnel
  3. The traffic

Most great writers were never taught anything about this, which is why they typically dream of getting signed with a big publisher where all the “sales and marketing stuff” will be taken care of.

Publishers have a network and distribution model already in place, so if you’re able to get on board…

Sales will happen.

But most people don’t get book deals.

And most people aren’t great writers.

Myself included.

Fortunately, when you know how to implement the 3 things above…

You can build your own network and distribution model

And it doesn’t take all that long to do.

I’ll explain:

The Offer – This is how you package your writing and display the benefit a reader would get from purchasing. Even though I typically help people who want to be educators around a topic, this applies to fiction as well. You can search through top books on Amazon to see how writers create compelling offers in any niche for some ideas.

The Funnel – This is the process that takes someone from complete stranger to customer, and in the modern age, would include anything from social media content to landing pages to post-purchase support. For example, Threads posts -> newsletter sign up page -> sales page -> additional product offerings.

The Traffic – This is the method you use to get attention, send people through your funnel, and get eyeballs on your offer. It could be short text posts like I do, short videos, long videos, articles, emails, collaborations, or various types of paid media.

The crazy part about this is you really don’t have to be a good writer to make this work.

You don’t need to know a bunch of fancy words.

You don’t even have to pass English class the first time.

(I graduated high school in summer school with 8 other kids)

All you need to know is how to present offers in a clear way, put together a funnel that sells that offer, and get people to see it every day.

And that’s exactly what I help you do inside The Blueprint.
