How To Stop Being Afraid To Sell

A common problem I see with people just starting their digital product business is they’re afraid to sell.

“I don’t want to be too salesy”

They seem to think offering their product on the internet turns them into your classic cigar-smoking used car salesman from the 70s and 80s, being all pushy and whatnot.

Even as a salesman by profession myself, I get it.

But here’s the thing:

There’s a right way and a wrong way to sell your offer online.

The wrong way is posting “hey please buy my stuff, I beg of you!” every day.

(I see this daily, and it’s often followed with a post wondering why no one’s buying)

We’re here to push products, but not PUSH products.

Instead, you can push products by pulling people into your world and offering a solution.

This flips the whole script.

Not only does it stop you from feeling like a greedy salesperson…

It also takes people through a more natural sales process where your customers “feel like they found you at the right time” which increases conversions by a significant amount.

How do you actually do this?

Simply by posting daily content your ideal customer would find helpful.

And depending on your platform of choice, either your bio or content itself would have a casual mention of how you can help people further and direct people to your product.

The last thing I’ll say about this for now is:

If your product is actually good and can solve people’s problems, then it’s your responsibility to sell it.

Imagine going to a restaurant when you’re hungry and when you try to order, they say:

“Oh sorry, we’re not selling anything today, we just want to share eating advice”

Do you think you’ll ever go back?

I know I wouldn’t…

Go in with the mindset of helping people, and you’ll never struggle to offer your product again.

And speaking of this whole approach…

If you want to launch your digital product, set up a system that sells it for you, and learn free ways to get customers from the system that helped me collect 150 payments from a tiny audience…
