The best way to grow an audience from zero on X and Threads is by being an active commenter.
But what about people who are super busy and don’t have time to leave 100 comments a day like the “growth gurus” suggest?
That’s what we’re trying to find out.
My original idea was to post 10+ times per day:
- More opportunities for reach
- More content tests to see what works
- More chances to get new customers
But after months of doing this and a recent shorter bout…
I DID get more reach…
But my average reach per post was downright terrible.
So last week I decided to give the whole “3 posts a day” angle a shot.
Here were the results vs 10 posts a day the week before:
For last week’s numbers on X:
-2,703 followers (-2)
-23 posts (-51)
-23 replies (-19)
-2,044 views (-1,823)
And on Threads:
-365 followers (-2)
-23 posts (-51)
-128 replies (+71)
-16.9k views (-3.5k)
What can I draw from this?
Not a whole lot.
Clearly the views and followers are lower which means fewer opportunities for growth and sales, however…
It took me less than 1/3 of the time to schedule content and it was super low pressure.
And there are people who do well posting 1-3 times per day…
I think the next move is to post 5x per day for the next week to see what happens:
- 80% content for my ideal customer
- 20% personal content because I’m a human and I want to
Will report back next week.
