My Automated Selling System Simplified

Most people post on social media for free, but if you want to turn your time spent on these apps into a side income, there are 2 main things you need to set up:

A digital product and an automated selling system.

If you’re busy like I am, this works best with ebooks, templates, and courses which we can get into creating those at another time…

Today we’re going to focus on the system.

I’ll use this exact system for my own ebook and I’ll break it down below so you can model it for yourself:

Step 1: The Social Media Funnel

It all starts with setting up your social media bio in a way that explains who you are, what you do, and how you can help your ideal customer.

From there, you include a link to a page that sells your ebook, template, or course.

My bio on Threads may not be the most scientifically optimal, but it does exactly this. Here’s what it currently says:

Man. Husband. Father. Black Coffee Enjoyer.
Sold 102+ ebooks in my spare time.
Daily tips on building a digital product side hustle

I also have a clear headshot along with a link to my ebook, The Info Product Lifestyle Blueprint.

As you post on social media, mostly around the topic your product solves, you’ll gain views and followers.

These new followers will check out your profile and have the opportunity to click your link.

When they do, that’s where the automated selling system starts.

Step 2: The Automated Selling System

When your viewers and followers click your link, they’ll be taken to a page that offers your product.

You can create this page on your own website like I do, or use something like Kit or Stan Store.

The cool thing about a page like this is you only have to create it once, and it can sell your product over and over again for you.

It doesn’t matter if 10 people view the page or 10,000…

Or whether they view the page at 2pm or 2am…

Once people land on your page, it does all the selling for you.

You don’t have to do any manual work to make a sale once it’s set up.

Step 3: What Happens After The Sale?

You could end the sales process here, but there are a few ways you can take it a step further.

The first way is offering an additional product at the end of your first product like a community or coaching offer if you have the time, or additional ebooks you create down the road.

That way every single customer is given the opportunity to get more from you.

The next way is by asking for reviews, feedback, or testimonials once people get a result.

If you get permission to put these on your landing page, they can help you make more sales from fewer visitors.

The third way is to put customers in an email campaign, set up some automated emails to go out to your new customers, and offer additional products and services that way.

Personally, I’m just using the first method right now, but may tie in the other two down the road.

Simplicity Is The Key To Staying Sane With A Busy Schedule

Selling digital products can be as simple or as complicated as you make it.

I’ve been in the back office of a 7 figure business with over a dozen customer entry points, lead magnets, email campaigns, and while I understood it well and was able to offer some insights on how to optimize a few things…

They also had multiple staff members working on content, funnels, tech, and customer support.

In the beginning you don’t need any of that.

You just need:

  • 1 main offer
  • 1 main landing page
  • 1 main social media profile

And the ability to show up every day to get enough views and followers to start making sales on a regular basis.
