My Number 1 Source Of Digital Product Customers

I’ve sold digital products in several niches and there’s been one customer generation method that stood out from the rest every single time.

I’ve made a fair number of sales directly from social media, blogging, and YouTube over the years…

But my number one method of all time?

Email marketing.

And it’s not even close.

If you think about it, it both makes no sense and perfect sense at the same time.

It makes no sense because it seems like email is outdated and no one uses it as much anymore…

And it makes perfect sense because people don’t usually “doomscroll” their inbox to watch viral Reels.

They check for important emails, unsubscribe from stuff they don’t want, and stay up to date on purchases, shipping, etc.

It’s a great marketing method.

But there’s a catch…

So many brands and companies send “70% off – Final chance!” emails just to send another one just like it a week later.

Sure, it’ll get customers but it’ll also cheapen your brand and cause people to tune out.

Instead, the trick is to write emails people actually want to read.

Now I’m not some world class writer and you don’t have to be either…

All you have to know is how to be in your ideal customer’s world, talk about their problems, and position your product as a solution.

I learned a ton about email writing from Ben Settle and I think he puts it best when he says:

You should treat your emails like your own talk radio show.

Talk radio always has a topic, a sponsor, and it’s entertaining for a specific listener.

In your emails, the topic could be a problem your ideal customer faces, the sponsor is your digital product, and your listener is your email subscribers.

After sending thousands of emails to my own lists over the years, I’ve been able to develop my own system that makes emails easy to write and helped me collect over 150 payments with an email list of only 401 subscribers in one niche.

If you want to learn more about my method…

Here’s what you can do:

That way you’ll get both the system to launch and sell digital products, and the email marketing system to get more customers at the same time.

It’ll take time to set up and learn, but in my experience it’s been 100% worth it even if you don’t have a big audience.
