One of the classic breakfast options in our household is pancakes.

I like ’em.

My wife likes ’em.

My kids like em.

And in combination with some kind of protein source, they give us a decent amount of energy for the day.

Simple, reliable, repeatable, enjoyable.

We don’t try to change them up all the time either, because every time we’ve tried different ingredients, either it wasn’t a hit or the novelty wore off quickly and we end up back on the classic recipe anyway.
