As I proclaimed last month, this year is all about focus.
In terms of business, that focus is around a few key things instead of my old bad habits of trying to do everything at once.
I used to try to post on every platform out there, which only led to stress and burnout.
Now I’m posting on 4 platforms, but…
I only have to post 2 kinds of content:
- Longer content for my email list which gets posted to my blog
- Shorter content for X and Threads which is posted via Buffer
As for products, I also have 2 things readers can buy:
- The Info Product Lifestyle Blueprint (plus an upsell)
- The Info Product Lifestyle Skool Community (free to join)
That might sound like a lot of moving parts, but I really only have to write one longer piece of content per day and a handful of shorter ones.
The shorter ones lead to my ebook, which leads to my email list, which now leads to my community.
Because of this…
Most of my time and effort is spent on X and Threads.
The more qualified views, followers, and connections I gain on those platforms, the better everything runs.
As for January, here’s what happened for social media growth:
My stats for X:
- Followers: -3
My stats for Threads:
- Views: 121,000 (views are rounded)
- Followers: +17
Now that it’s February, my goal this month is quite simple:
Post better content, make more connections, and double my views.
I’ve also realized over the last few months that more of my ideal customer hangs out on Threads, so I’ll likely continue to put more effort there, especially via comments if I have a spare moment during the day.
More specifically, I’m shooting for 250k views this month on Threads.
If you’re wondering why I’m sharing all of this…
It’s simply because it’s good to have an action plan for the month and a target to work toward.
So if you don’t have your own yet, now is a good time to put one together.
Let’s make it happen this month!
Talk soon,
-Gabe
