Want To Make More Money Per Sale? Here’s One Way To Do It

In 2024 I was selling a $19 fitness program and while it wasn’t one of my greatest hits, it was selling here and there.

But where the real magic happened was when I turned those 19 dollar program sales into $267 orders.

Here’s how I made more money per sale:

The whole business was built around posting content on social media and sending people to an email list where I’d send daily emails as I’ve been known to do.

I wasn’t getting a ton of traffic, despite getting well over 1M views on Instagram.

Anyway…

I built an email list of about 68 subscribers over time and would send my readers daily fitness insights with a link to my program at the end.

Once they bought, here’s what I did:

I’d offer customers the opportunity to work with me 1-on-1 where I’d offer custom workout programs and calorie coaching.

Most of my customers wouldn’t upgrade which is perfectly normal, but…

The ones who did enrolled into the short-term program without me picking up the phone or DM pitching anyone.

And that turned those $19 sales into $267 sales.

I ended up getting out of the fitness space for many reasons, but the main takeaway is this:

With digital products, you’re not limited to selling just one product or even one type of product.

If you want, you can stack multiple products:

  • Multiple PDFs
  • Multiple courses
  • Group coaching + 1-on-1
  • Free community + paid community

Or multiple product types like PDFs + Courses, Community + Coaching, etc.

Early on, I think it’s smart to focus on the one type of product that aligns best with your goals and the way you want to run your business…

But once you get some traction and momentum going, you can always add to the funnel where it makes sense.
