Yesterday, I talked a bit about some 6 figure niches outside of the normal big 3 health, wealth and relationship topics so many people build businesses around.
Today, I wanted to give you another idea for a niche that’s so easily overlooked, when you hear it you might wonder why more people don’t do this.
And that is…
What are some of the skills you’ve developed at your day job that other people might want to learn?
For example, I’ve worked in sales for years and sold millions of dollars worth of product in multiple industries, from cars to cell phones to printers to flooring to furniture and so on…
And just having written that…
A few biz ideas come to mind:
I could write an ebook on how to start a career in sales.
I could create a coaching program on how to close more deals.
I could create a downloadable monthly personal sales tracker sheet.
I could create a bunch of phone call script templates for follow up, new deals, etc.
I’ve also trained consultants and managers to be better at their jobs, so I could create content and programs around sales management.
The options are endless.
And that’s just from my day job(s) from years in sales and sales management.
So in your case…
You can create content, programs, and an entire business around the skills you’ve gained over the years at your job.
Now here’s where my normal recommendations of personal branding might go out the window…
When I was running a busy gym, the owners didn’t want their staff running fitness businesses while being employed there as to not take away from their personal training business (unless you got approval, and in my case one of the owners not only said it was fine, but they followed my account then too lol).
So in your case it might be smart to run it under a faceless brand name unless your employer is actually okay with it.
No sense in risking a job over it imo.
In any case, it’s just another idea for a business niche you can run with.
