One of the smartest ways to build an online business is by monetizing things you already talk about.

For example, I used to love talking about blogging back when it was in it’s heyday, especially because it was one of the things that helped me build a previous business.

So I started writing about it…

I shared what worked for me, the different tools I used, and different strategies I tried.

One of the problems in the market was so many blog themes were clunky, expensive, slow, or hard to customize.

Well, except the one I was using which not many people knew about.

So I joined their affiliate program and wrote up an honest review article about what I liked and disliked about the theme (it still had some limitations).

And not only did I make a bunch of affiliate sales…

But the creator of the theme linked my review on the main website and took my feedback to make the theme even better.

I don’t say all of this to brag…

Even though it was pretty cool…

I say this because you can just go try stuff.

I’m not in the blogging niche anymore because I’ve moved on to other things, but I learned a lot from that experience, made some money, and had a good time.

So many people are caught up in “getting ready to get ready” mode and don’t do anything.

Better to start something now even if you find out it’s not for you down the road.

You’ll learn more from actually doing the work than staying in learning mode forever.
