Make Your First Sale Online By Thinking Backwards

The normal way a digital product sales funnel goes is like this:

Content/ads -> Landing page -> Offer -> Sale

But if you want to make your first sale online, one of the best things you can do is reverse the funnel.

I’ll explain:

The first thing to do is think about your ideal customer before you do anything else.

  • What do they struggle with?
  • What do they hope to avoid?
  • What do they hope to gain?
  • What is their dream outcome?

Knowing this helps you create an aligned offer that will actually sell.

A lot of people skip this step and wonder why it doesn’t work, even with all the latest and greatest funnel softwares and content hacks.

After you have the offer in order…

It makes the rest of the process really simple because you can create a good landing page that answers the questions I listed above which naturally lead to your product being the solution.

From there, you can literally take bits and pieces from your product and landing page and turn them into content on social media or even ads.

And if you’re using social media, it’s also smart to treat your profile as a sort of a mini-landing page which shares who you help and how you help them, but it’s not 100% required to do so.

If you create your system with the end in mind, the whole process flows much more smoothly which will bring you to your first sale so much faster than ‘frankenstein-ing’ it all together.
