I post a lot on X and Threads every single day, and for good reason:
You never know which post is going to take off.
It’s almost like a lottery, but there are a lot more winners and it doesn’t cost anything to play aside from a few seconds to a few minutes per ticket.
The interesting part?
Winners aren’t always the posts with the most views.
Not long ago, I talked about my stats on both platforms and the wild and crazy differences between the two.
My X account was getting 25k views per month with 2,681 followers when my Threads account was getting 147k views per month with 291 followers.
And yet…
My X account was driving more results than Threads by a decent margin.
But here’s the thing:
If I didn’t keep playing on both platforms, I never would have found that out.
I would have just assumed my average 30 views per X post was meaningless and stopped posting.
Instead, I kept going anyway and it’s only getting better overall.
It helps that I use Buffer to schedule all my posts for the day and they go to both platforms automatically…
Either way, that’s part of the reason I’m posting 5-10+ times a day.
The other reason is because…
The more I post, the more data I get.
I can see which content works for me and post more of that.
Sure, I could do the same thing with 3-5 posts per day… but why not double or triple the rate of feedback?
I can’t see a reason not to do this.
As I keep following my strategy to rebuild and grow my account, it’ll only get better from there.
Just gotta keep playing the content lotto.
Any questions? Let me know.
Talk soon,
-Gabe
