One of the greatest opportunities in our current era is the ability to go online and help people solve problems by selling information.
It’s a low cost, high margin, and relatively easy to start compared to other businesses.
But thanks to the guru hype marketers with their stories about how they went from being so homeless they didn’t have a cardboard box to being owners of 17 islands by following 1 weird trick…
They gave the wrong impression to the people who don’t have jobs or are months behind on bills.
Selling digital products is not going to instantly fix all your money problems.
In fact, the worst time to start this kind of business is when you have no money.
Not because it’s expensive.
It’s not at all.
You can quite literally start with no money out of pocket with something like Gumroad and posting social media content.
The reason it’s bad to start when you have no money is because it tends to dictate your approach.
Pitching all the time.
Asking the timeline how to make sales (I see this nearly every day on Threads).
Doubting if it’s even possible because it’s not happening fast enough.
Worst of all is people who get into the “make money” niche and claim they make a bunch of money in their profiles then DMing coaches for help making their first sale.
Essentially losing the whole plot.
I’m not saying you can’t start a biz unless you have a bunch of money set aside…
But I am saying the mental approach changes everything.
Play the long game.
Show up every day to help people.
Learn and develop skills.
Build a name for yourself.
Worry less about sales today and focus more about building your long term vision.
If you do this long enough, it’ll work out.
And if you want help getting everything set up and support along the way, then consider joining me inside Info Product Lifestyle which now has a no cost tier (until at least 3/31/2026).
