I’ve made over 200 digital product sales on the internet and my best advice for beginners is to stop pitching your products all the time.
Here’s what I mean:
I spend a lot more time on Threads than I’d like to admit and come across a lot of people starting new digital product businesses.
Something about the algorithms serving what you like to see…
Because I like to see it!
I think more people should step up and help people actually solve problems with PDFs, courses, coaching, etc.
But the biggest problem is…
I’ll check out their page and it’s 90% pitches and 10% actual content.
And one of the reasons I’ve been able to sell so many copies of my products on text based platforms like this is because I completely flipped the script:
90% actual content and 10% offering something on the timeline.
While I don’t think there’s anything wrong with offering a product directly in a post, most of the time the offer was to join my email list where most of the selling for any online business happens anyway.
Simply flipping this script will change the game for most.
Naturally, content strategy goes a whole lot deeper than that…
And that’s just one of the many things I can help you with when we work together.
Any questions? Let me know.
Talk soon,
