The Digital Product Biz Plan For March

Just like that February has gone by and we’re already in the 3rd month of the year.

Some notable events of March will include:

  • I turn 37 years old in a couple days
  • The Midwest storm season begins
  • Our second pup turns a whole year old

And I figure it’s a good time to talk about the biz plan for March along with some harsh realizations it’s finally time to act on.

But first, let’s see how February went:

Well, not so good.

Views were down. New subscribers were down. Sales were… zero.

(more on that last one in a second)

On top of that, my day job had its worst February in years across the entire franchise.

So a bit of a mess overall, but of course we keep going anyway.

As for the whole sales situation…

I ended up taking down my ebook and only having it in my community on Skool, partly for tax purposes and partly to simplify my offerings.

Now it’s simply an email list and the IPL Skool.

Here’s the harsh realization:

I have followers, but I don’t really have an audience yet.

Between X and Threads, I have 3,090 followers but the vast majority of those followers were gained from when I was doing fitness coaching in 2019-2020, then email marketing in 2020-2022, then back to fitness coaching in 2024…

Because of this, my reach is all kinds of weird.

Threads is more in alignment because the account is newer and I’m able to grow my email list there more consistently, but X is not doing much for me right now.

To remedy this issue, I’ve figured out what I need to do:

Keep improving my content and use smart engagement strategies to gain 1,000 followers on each account.

During my first fitness coaching run, I started getting more consistent sales when I reached 1k followers on X.

During my email marketing run, I started making up to multiple sales per day when I reached 2k followers on X.

So my goals moving forward are:

  • 1k followers on Threads
  • 4k followers on X

It’s not about the followers, but what I do in order to gain those followers.

Anyone can post dumb questions, rage bait, riddles, stolen memes, or jokes to gain followers…

But if you approach content in a way that gives people options for thinking differently, positions you as an authority, and inspires action as I’ve done in the past…

Then you can turn even a small following into an income.

And on that note…

I’m taking away free access to my community tomorrow morning EST.

What I’ve found is people who join for free don’t take it seriously.

They don’t post, they don’t comment, and they don’t even respond to the free DM consultation offer.

But I’m not going to make it a crazy price.

Just one simple option:

$99 USD per year.

So the final word on the plan for March is this:

  • Send my daily email and offer my Skool community
  • Schedule 5 posts per day to X and Threads to build my audience and email list
  • Use a modified, value driven “reply guy” strategy to get more attention
