There’s no doubt 2020 was a tough time for the vast majority of people, but it was also a time of rapid innovation especially in the online business world.
Prior to that, you only had a handful of options to sell products online and they were either expensive, complicated, or both.
In most cases, you had to hire someone to get these websites and funnel builders to work properly, or spend countless hours figuring it out yourself along with becoming a competent copywriter.
But these days?
There are people creating 6 and 7 figure businesses with tools so easy a caveman’s baby could figure it out.
Why You Don’t Want A Website Like Mine
I’m old school as far as the internet is concerned and it’s hard for me to break old habits of building my own website on my own domain name and hosting, but it’s no longer necessary.
Not only do you have to buy hosting and a domain name with ever increasing prices, you also have to get your website theme to do what you want it to do, which is easier said than done.
I will admit, it’s definitely easier than it was back in 2009, but there’s still a decent learning curve.
On top of all that, it’s not really designed to directly sell products and services so if your goal is making money, I wouldn’t even recommend a website like mine.
Here’s What I’d Suggest Instead
Fortunately, you don’t have to be a designer, web developer, or even a good copywriter to make money online nowadays.
You can simply sign up for a service like Stan Store, Beacons, Kit.com, Gumroad, or even Whop and be up and running fast.
They’re all easy to use and perfect for selling digital products like ebooks, courses, memberships, and coaching offers.
Sure, it might help to have your own dot com domain name, but even that isn’t as important as it used to be, simply because most people online are clicking links and not typing them in.
I know several creators making a six figure income with just a $29/month Stan Store subscription and that’s it.
Of course, there’s a lot more that goes into how to actually sell the products like the offer itself, who it’s for, what it does, how much it costs, guarantees, etc. which I can talk more about in the future…
But you don’t need to spend hundreds to thousands of dollars to get your business up and running.
We’re in some really cool times.
Any questions? Let me know.
Talk soon,
-Gabe
