I’ve seen pretty much every online business model there is to see online.
Some examples:
- Agencies (marketing, modeling)
- Online coaching (fitness, dating, business, hobbies, etc)
- Content creation (ad revenue, affiliate, brand deals)
- Freelance services (writing, editing, web design)
All of them are great in their own ways, but…
I have a big problem with them…
To make any significant money, most of them require involving other people and lining up schedules and some of them are simply a job but you get to work from home.
Now that might not be a problem for many, and if any of those line up with the future life you want to live then I’m all for it and you can absolutely be successful if you develop the skills and do the work.
But for me?
I’m not building an online business to have another job, and working a traditional job schedule from home never worked out well for me in the past.
So what did I do instead to get hundreds of customers from a small audience without working all day?
I kept it simple:
- Post content and run ads
- Build an email list (either via newsletter or low-ticket product)
- Send daily emails that take me 15 minutes or less to write
- Promote digital products that actually help people
Sure, I’ve done freelance services and coaching in the past, but they aren’t quite ideal for the life I want to live.
Instead, the plan is to follow those 4 steps and create leverage.
It takes the same amount of time to send an email broadcast like this to 170 people as it does to send one to 170,000.
It takes the same amount of effort to make 1 sale as it does to make 100 with this model.
The only real variable?
How many of the right people are on your list.
