The Unhinged Wendy’s Online Biz Growth Method

Years back, someone hopped on Twitter and posted:

“I want Wendy’s but my girlfriend wants McDonalds, what do I do”

And Wendy’s replied:

“There are plenty of fish in the sea”

Absolutely wild that a giant brand was out there saying stuff like this.

While it might seem unprofessional, and it is…

These kinds of replies do 2 things:

It relates to a fairly specific audience demographic It gets a lot of attention for an inferior fast food restaurant

While I don’t recommend you go out there and start replying with one liner zingers, there is absolutely something you can take from this:

Replying to other people’s posts is a great visibility strategy, especially in the early stages of building an audience.

It works for growth on all platforms, even YouTube, but it’s especially powerful on X and Threads which are both built for conversations.

Here’s how you can adopt the method:

You can use the search function to find people talking about your topic, talk with people you follow, or people who show up on your feed.

They key here is to be a real human by replying with experiences and insights, not just fire emojis or “I agree”

I did this a fair bit when I was getting a few thousand views per month on Threads, and now I’m consistently getting tens to hundreds of thousands of views per month.

After views, the next thing you need is a system to turn the attention into leads and customers.

That’s one of the reasons I created the 3 Step Launch Plan which you can get for free here:
