Some Cool Tools I Use To Make Writing Content Online Easier

If you’re more focused on making short videos, long videos, or podcasts off the cuff, then you can ignore this post…

But if you write anything like:

  • Landing pages
  • Sales pages
  • Emails
  • X or Threads posts
  • Articles
  • eBooks
  • Text-heavy courses
  • Blog posts

Or really any form of writing at all, then you might find these useful.

Let’s get right into it:

Google Keep – This is where I write 90% of my content because it’s plain text based and copy/pastes really well into any of the above mentioned formats. It also syncs with the app on my Phone, so it makes it easy to note down things and recall them later on my laptop. Super handy and somehow not many people talk about it.

Google Docs – I use this for 2 main reasons: Writing eBooks and the ultra-rare screen recorded video. It’s easy to use and easily exports to PDF. It also tells me how wrong my grammar is, even though I write the way I intend to write. That aside, simple enough.

Case Converter – I mainly use this free online tool when I write a title in sentence case for an email then want title case for a blog post. Sure, it doesn’t take long to rewrite it, but copy/paste, click button, copy/paste feels faster so I use it pretty much every day.

Character Counter – I don’t use these often, but sometimes I want to keep posts shorter and it gives me a rough idea of where I’m at. I also use this when my X posts are getting near the 280 character cutoff so I can refine posts and make them all fit before they essentially turn into an article.

Canva – The classic. eBook covers, blog post images, sometimes YouTube thumbnails. If I need some kind of graphic, I use this. I’m no good at graphic design, and I’m not sure I have plans to get better at it, but it’s still my go-to.

And there you have it.

Do you have to use any of these?

Nope.

But they are handy if you do a lot of writing, so I figured I’d share them with you today.

Any questions or suggestions? Let me know.

Talk soon,
-Gabe
