Why My Wife And I Don’t Drink Coffee Together

Ever since we first met, my wife and I would grab coffee together pretty much anywhere you can get coffee:

Starbucks, McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, and trying to make some at home that actually tastes good to her.

For me, I’d keep my order relatively simple:

Take the coffee and pour it in a cup.

Maybe I’d get iced every now and then, but nothing else added to it.

Then you’d have my wife’s order:

Extra cream, extra sugar, various flavors added.

Pretty much dessert in a cup.

And 8 times out of 10 it came with a sense of disappointment for her.

But we kept doing it anyway.

“Maybe one day we’ll find a coffee you like”

One, two, skip a few and now we’re married and have 3 babies.

And we finally figured out the root cause of the problem:

My wife doesn’t like coffee.

On top of that, we noticed she has a heightened sense of anxiety not just with coffee, but any source of caffeine including sodas, teas, or anything else.

At that point, the answer was simply to stop consuming caffeine and not feel the need to have it just because everyone else has it.

While decaf coffee is nothing more than a myth, we’re fortunate to live in a time where there’s accommodation and alternatives for everything, such as:

  • Caffeine-free teas good hot or iced
  • Caffeine-free soda, both regular and diet
  • Oh and that whole reverse-osmosis filtered water thing

I’d even argue caffeine-free diet Pepsi is better than the original.

Caffeine aside…

This is just like running a digital product business.

So many people run headfirst into a wall doing marketing they can’t stand to a sales process that doesn’t work for them, just to sell a product they don’t enjoy delivering.

All because they read some post or guide on the “most profitable niches” or something like that.

Well I’ve got good news for you…

We’re in 2026 now and you don’t have to follow the old rules anymore.

These days, we have people building businesses around playing guitar, building resumes that actually get jobs, teaching graphic design, becoming better with Excel spreadsheets, and even skiing coaching.

There’s no limit to what you can do…

And the process is the same:

  • Pick a social platform you like
  • Post content and get attention
  • Build an audience and email list
  • Create a problem-solving digital product
  • Send emails about the problems you solve
  • Offer your product in every email you send
  • Profit

The only problem is there are a lot of things to learn to get this biz up and running, which is why I created the 3 Step Launch Plan.

It’s designed to get you up and running ASAP so you can simply post about your passion, find your tribe, and get customers in a way you actually enjoy, along with a bold 90 day challenge.
